How to export a slide as an image (JPG)
Powtoon lets you export any individual slide as a JPG image file. The image is downloaded directly to your computer at full resolution, determined by your Powtoon's aspect ratio.
Before you start
Open the Powtoon you want to export from in Powtoon Studio. You will need to be in the editor to access the Export option.
How to export a slide as an image
- In the slide panel on the left, select the slide you want to save as an image.
- In the top toolbar, click Export.
- Select Download Image (JPG) from the Export menu.
► The exported image dimensions depend on your Powtoon's aspect ratio:- Horizontal: 1920 × 1080 pixels
- Square: 1080 × 1080 pixels
- Vertical: 1080 × 1920 pixels
- A preview window opens showing the frame that will be exported. If the frame shown is not the one you want, move the playhead to a different position on the timeline.
- When the preview shows exactly what you want, click Download Image.
The JPG file downloads automatically and is saved to your designated downloads folder.
Notes
- Only one slide can be exported as an image at a time. Repeat the steps above for each additional slide you want to save.
- The exported image captures a single frame from the slide, not the full animation. Use the playhead in the preview window to choose the exact frame before downloading.
- If you need to export your entire Powtoon as a video file rather than a single image, see the Export Formats articles for available options.
