You can display your Powtoon directly on a web page by embedding it using an HTML (HyperText Markup Language) snippet. The embedded Powtoon is hosted on Powtoon's servers — the embed code creates a link to that hosted version.
Before you start
Your Powtoon must be published at least once before an embed code is available. If you have not yet exported your Powtoon, complete your first export before following the steps below.
How to get the embed code from Powtoon Studio
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Click Export in the top toolbar.
► If you have exported this Powtoon before, the button will read Publish instead of Export. - Select Embed Video from the export options panel.
- Select the frame size (in pixels) at which you want your Powtoon to display on the page.
► Common sizes appear as preset options. Choose the one that fits your page layout. - Copy the embed code that appears in the text field.
- Paste the embed code into the HTML of your web page at the position where you want the Powtoon to appear.
Alternative: get the embed code from the player page
You can also retrieve the embed code after publishing. On the Powtoon player page, click the embed icon to open the same embed code panel and copy the code from there.
What happens next
Once the embed code is added to your web page, visitors will see your Powtoon displayed in the frame size you selected. The Powtoon plays directly from Powtoon's servers — no file upload to your web host is required.
Note: The embed code links to the published version of your Powtoon. If you make changes and republish, the embedded version will update automatically because the link points to the same hosted file.
