How to upload your Powtoon to Vimeo

If you use Vimeo to host your content, you can upload a Powtoon directly to your Vimeo account from Powtoon Studio — without downloading a file first.

Before you start

You need an active Vimeo account to complete this process. If this is your first time uploading to Vimeo from Powtoon, you will be prompted to connect your Vimeo account during the steps below.

Upload your Powtoon to Vimeo

1. Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
2. Click Preview & Export in the top toolbar.
   ► If you have already exported this Powtoon before, the button will display Publish instead. Click it to continue.
   Your Powtoon will preview automatically before the export options appear.
3. Click Export (or Publish if this is a subsequent export) to open the export panel.
4. In the Upload section of the export panel, click Vimeo.
5. Connect your Vimeo account if prompted:
   • ► If this is your first time uploading to Vimeo, click Add Account and follow the on-screen steps to grant Powtoon permission to upload to your Vimeo account.
   • ► If you have already connected your Vimeo account, click Next to continue.
6. Update the title, description, and any other details for your Powtoon, then click Next.
7. Select your preferred quality settings, then click Upload Powtoon.

What happens next

Once you click Upload Powtoon, the export process begins. When the export is complete, a confirmation message appears on the page confirming that your Powtoon has been successfully exported.

A second confirmation message appears once the Powtoon has finished uploading to your Vimeo account. You will also receive a confirmation email to the address associated with your Powtoon account.

Your Powtoon will then be available in your Vimeo account library.

Note: Export and upload are two separate steps. The first confirmation message means the export from Powtoon is complete; the second means the upload to Vimeo is complete. Both messages must appear before your Powtoon is live in Vimeo.
