How to share your Powtoon on LinkedIn

You can export your Powtoon and share it to LinkedIn without leaving Powtoon. The export process publishes your Powtoon to a player page, and then lets you post a link to that page directly to your LinkedIn feed or as a private message.

Note: All references to LinkedIn were accurate at the time of writing and may have changed since publication of this article.

Share your Powtoon on LinkedIn

1. In Powtoon Studio, click Export.
   ► If you have exported this Powtoon before, the button will show Publish instead of Export.
2. Scroll down and select LinkedIn.
3. Define the export details:
   1. Select the category for your Powtoon.
   2. Set the visibility to Public (searchable) or Unlisted.
      ► For more information on visibility settings, see Making Your Powtoon Private.
   3. Click Next.
4. Define the quality details:
   1. Choose whether to hide or show Powtoon branding (the logo and outro) in your exported video.
   2. Select the video resolution quality.
   3. Click Share Powtoon. The export process will begin and your Powtoon will be published to a player page.
5. On the player page, click the LinkedIn icon.
6. Sign in to your LinkedIn account when prompted.
   ► If no pop-up window appears, check that your browser allows pop-ups from Powtoon and try again.
7. Select whether to share the Powtoon as a post or as a private message.
8. Add your message in LinkedIn and click Post.

A post containing a link to your Powtoon's player page is added to your LinkedIn feed.

What your LinkedIn post includes

When you share a Powtoon on LinkedIn, the post contains a link back to the Powtoon player page — not a downloaded video file. Anyone who clicks the link will view your Powtoon in the Powtoon player. The visibility you set in step 3 (Public or Unlisted) controls who can find and view it.

Notes:

1. Branding visibility (logo and outro) and resolution quality are set during the export flow and cannot be changed after you click Share Powtoon without re-exporting.
2. If you set your Powtoon to Unlisted, only people with the direct link can view it. See Making Your Powtoon Private for more information.
