How to download your Powtoon as an MP4 file

Downloading your Powtoon as an MP4 (MPEG-4) file lets you save and share your content outside of Powtoon. You can start the download from inside Powtoon Studio or directly from your Workspace.

Plan requirement: A paid subscription plan is required to download MP4 files. This option is not available on free or trial accounts.

Downloading from Powtoon Studio

To download your Powtoon as an MP4 file from inside Powtoon Studio:

Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
Click Export in the top toolbar.
► If you have exported this Powtoon before, the button will display Publish instead of Export.
Select Download MP4 from the menu that appears.
Select your preferred video quality.
Click Generate & download.

The export process will begin. When the MP4 file is ready, Powtoon will send a copy to your registered email address.

Downloading from your Workspace

To download your Powtoon as an MP4 file from your Workspace:

Go to your Workspace and locate the Powtoon you want to download.
► If you cannot see it, click View All to browse your full content list.
Click the three-dot menu on the Powtoon thumbnail and select Download MP4.
Choose one of the following options based on your situation:
- If you have already exported this Powtoon and have not made changes since, click Download MP4. Powtoon will download the most recent MP4 file automatically.
- If you have made changes to your Powtoon since the last export, select Re-export to MP4. This generates a new MP4 file that includes all your latest updates.
Select your preferred video quality.

The export process will begin. When the MP4 file is ready, Powtoon will send a copy to your registered email address.

Note: MP4 export is processed asynchronously. The time to complete depends on the length and complexity of your Powtoon. Check your email inbox — including your spam or junk folder — if the download link does not arrive promptly.
