How to upload your Powtoon to Wistia

If you use Wistia to host your videos, you can upload your Powtoon directly to your Wistia account from Powtoon Studio. The steps below cover the full process, including connecting your Wistia account for the first time.

Before you start

You need an active Wistia account to complete this process. If you have not yet connected Powtoon to Wistia, you will be prompted to grant permission during the export flow.

Upload your Powtoon to Wistia

1. In Powtoon Studio, click Preview & Export.
   ► If you have already exported this Powtoon before, the button will read Publish instead. The steps that follow are the same either way.
   Your Powtoon will begin previewing automatically.
2. Click Export (or Publish if this is a subsequent export).
3. In the Upload section, click Wistia.
   ► If this is the first time you are exporting to Wistia, a permissions screen will appear. Click Add and grant Powtoon permission to upload to your Wistia account. Once permission is granted, continue to the next step.
4. If you have already connected your Wistia account, click Next.
5. Update the title and details for your Powtoon, then click Next.
6. Set your preferred quality settings, then click Upload Powtoon.
   The export process will begin.

What happens after you click Upload Powtoon

Uploading your Powtoon to Wistia is a two-stage process:

1. Export confirmation: Once Powtoon has finished processing your Powtoon, a confirmation message appears on the page to let you know the export was successful.
2. Upload confirmation: Once the file has been delivered to your Wistia account, a second confirmation message appears on the same page confirming the upload is complete.

You will also receive a confirmation email to the address associated with your Powtoon account. Your Powtoon will then be available in your Wistia media library.
