How to upload your Powtoon to a Facebook page

If you manage a Facebook page for a business, organization, or cause, you can upload your Powtoon directly to it from Powtoon Studio. You can start the upload either from within the editor or from the preview player.

Note: Use the square aspect ratio when creating a Powtoon intended for Facebook. This ensures your Powtoon is optimized for a social feed.

Uploading from Powtoon Studio

To upload your Powtoon to a Facebook page directly from the editor:

1. In Powtoon Studio, click Export.
   ► If you have exported this Powtoon before, the button reads Publish instead.
2. Select Facebook Page.
3. Click Add Account to connect your Facebook account and grant Powtoon permission to upload to your page.
   ► If you have already connected your account, select it from the list.
4. Click Upload destination and select To a page you manage.
5. Select your Facebook page, then click Next.
6. Set the export details:
   1. Select the category for your Powtoon.
   2. Set the visibility to Public (searchable) or Unlisted. See Making Your Powtoon Private for more information.
   3. Click Next.
7. Set the quality details:
   1. Choose whether to show or hide Powtoon branding (logo and outro).
   2. Select the video resolution.
   3. Click Upload Powtoon.

Uploading from the preview player

To upload your Powtoon to a Facebook page after previewing it:

1. In Powtoon Studio, click Preview.
2. After previewing your Powtoon, click Export.
   ► If you have exported this Powtoon before, the button reads Publish instead.
3. Click Facebook.
4. Click Add Account to connect your Facebook account and grant Powtoon permission to upload to your page.
   ► If you have already connected your account, select it from the list.
5. Click Upload destination and select To a page you manage.
6. Select your Facebook page, then click Next.
7. Set the export details:
   1. Select the category for your Powtoon.
   2. Set the visibility to Public (searchable) or Unlisted. See Making Your Powtoon Private for more information.
   3. Click Next.
8. Set the quality details:
   1. Choose whether to show or hide Powtoon branding (logo and outro).
   2. Select the video resolution.
   3. Click Upload Powtoon.

What happens after the upload

When the upload completes, a confirmation message appears on the Powtoon player page. Click Facebook in that message to view your Powtoon on your page. You will also receive an email with a direct link to the uploaded Powtoon.

Your Powtoon then appears as a video post on your Facebook page, visible to your audience according to the visibility setting you chose.
