How to use a clicker to present your Powtoon in slideshow mode
When presenting your Powtoon in slideshow mode, you can use a wireless clicker to move forward and backward through slides hands-free. This lets you focus on your audience instead of your keyboard.
Before you start
- Make sure your Powtoon is ready to present in slideshow mode.
- Use a clicker that sends standard next-slide and previous-slide commands — most wireless presenters do this by default.
- Connect and test your clicker before the presentation starts to confirm it is working with your device.
Using a clicker to present your Powtoon
To advance slides using a wireless clicker during a slideshow mode presentation, follow these steps:
- Open the Powtoon you want to present.
- Start the presentation in slideshow mode.
- Connect your wireless clicker to your device if you have not already done so.
- Press the next-slide button on your clicker to advance to the next slide.
► Your Powtoon moves forward one slide with each press. - Press the previous-slide button to go back to the preceding slide if needed.
- Confirm that each button press moves the presentation as expected before continuing.
If the clicker is not working
If pressing the clicker does not advance your Powtoon, the clicker is not controlling the slideshow. To troubleshoot:
- Check that the clicker's receiver is fully connected to your device's USB (Universal Serial Bus) port.
- Make sure the slideshow mode window is the active, focused window on your screen — the clicker only controls the window that has focus.
- Test the clicker in another application to confirm the device itself is functioning.
- Reconnect the receiver and try again.
Note: Powtoon's slideshow mode responds to standard keyboard next-slide and previous-slide signals. If your clicker uses a non-standard input method, it may not be compatible.
