How to add a ready-made scene to your Powtoon

Every Powtoon is built from a sequence of scenes. Whether you are starting from scratch or working from a template, you can insert a ready-made scene from the Powtoon scene libraries at any point in your Powtoon. Ready-made scenes arrive fully designed — at most, you will need to update the text to match your message.

Note: The scenes available to you depend on your subscription plan. Higher-tier plans unlock a broader selection of scenes in Powtoon Studio.

Adding a ready-made scene

To add a ready-made scene, follow these steps in Powtoon Studio:

1. In the slide panel on the left, select the slide that should appear before the new scene. The new scene will be inserted immediately after the slide you select.
2. Hover over the selected slide thumbnail until the slide menu appears, then click the three-dot menu icon in the bottom-right corner of the thumbnail.
   • ► Alternatively, right-click the slide thumbnail and click Add Ready-Made Scene. If you use this shortcut, skip to step 4.
3. Click Add scene. The scene library panel opens.
4. Browse the scene libraries to find the scene you want. When you find it, click the scene to select it.

The scene is added to your Powtoon immediately after the slide you selected in step 1.

What happens after you add the scene

Once you add a ready-made scene, it appears as a new slide in your Powtoon's slide panel, positioned directly after the slide you chose. You can then edit any text on the scene's stage to fit your content.

If you want to reuse the scene in other Powtoons, you can save it to your scene library for quick access later. See Saving a scene for more information.

Notes

1. When you browse the scene libraries, Powtoon highlights scenes that match the visual style of your current Powtoon. Adding a scene from a different style may create an inconsistent look, so it is recommended to stay within the same style family.
2. The scenes available to you are determined by your subscription plan. If a scene appears locked, it requires a higher-tier plan to use.
