If you have built a scene from scratch or want to keep a scene from the Powtoon libraries, you can save it to My Scenes for reuse in any future Powtoon. This is especially useful when you have spent time arranging multiple objects and fine-tuning design and timing on a slide.
Before you start
You must be working in Create mode inside Powtoon Studio to save a scene. The option is not available in Edit mode.
How to save a scene to My Scenes
To save a scene, follow these steps inside Powtoon Studio:
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio and confirm you are in Create mode. The mode indicator appears at the top of the editor.
- In the slide panel, locate the slide whose scene you want to save.
- Hover over the slide thumbnail. Three dots appear in the bottom-right corner of the thumbnail.
- Click the three dots to open the slide menu.
- Click Save scene.
The scene is saved to your My Scenes library and is available to add to any Powtoon you create in the future.
► Alternative method: Select the slide first, then click Save current scene from the options that appear. The result is the same — the scene is saved to My Scenes.
What happens next
Once saved, your scene appears in the My Scenes library. You can access My Scenes from the content panel inside Powtoon Studio whenever you want to reuse the scene in a new or existing Powtoon.
Note: Saving a scene saves the layout, objects, and timing of that slide's stage. It does not save slide-level settings such as background music or transition effects.
