If you have already added a voiceover to your Powtoon — either across the entire Powtoon or on a specific slide — you can swap it for a different one at any time. You can do this from the Sound Control panel or directly from the timeline.

Swap a voiceover from the Sound Control panel
Use this method to swap a voiceover that applies to your entire Powtoon.
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Click the Sound Control button in the editor toolbar. The Sound Control panel will open on the right side of the screen.
- Click the Swap icon in the Sound Control panel. Your personal voiceover library — My Voiceovers — will open.
- Select the voiceover you want to use and click Use to the right of its name.
► If you want to replace the current voiceover with a new file, click Add voiceover in the library to upload one. See Adding a voiceover for more information.
The voiceover is swapped and the Sound Control panel remains open so you can review the updated audio settings.
Swap a voiceover from the timeline
Use this method to swap a voiceover that has been added to a specific slide on the timeline.
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio and locate the voiceover track on the timeline at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the voiceover clip on the timeline for the slide you want to update. The Sound Control panel will open.
- Click the Swap icon in the Sound Control panel. Your personal voiceover library — My Voiceovers — will open.
- Select the voiceover you want to use and click Use to the right of its name.
► If you want to replace the current voiceover with a new file, click Add voiceover in the library to upload one. See Adding a voiceover for more information.
The voiceover is swapped and updated directly on the timeline for that slide.
Note: The Swap icon appears in the Sound Control panel in both methods. If you do not see the Sound Control panel after clicking a voiceover clip on the timeline, click the Sound Control button in the toolbar to open it manually.
