You can remove a voiceover from a single slide, an entire Powtoon, or your personal voiceover library. This article covers all three methods.
In this article:
- Removing a voiceover from your Powtoon
- Removing a voiceover from your personal library (My Voiceovers)
Removing a voiceover from your Powtoon
There are two ways to remove a voiceover from a Powtoon, depending on how the voiceover was added: through the Sound Control panel, or as a timeline object.
Using the Sound Control panel
Use this method if the voiceover was added through the sound control button on the slide toolbar.
- Open the Powtoon you want to edit and navigate to the slide containing the voiceover.
- Click the sound control button on the slide toolbar. The Sound Control panel opens.
- Click the Clear icon in the Sound Control panel.
The voiceover is removed from the Powtoon. It remains available in your My Voiceovers library and is not permanently deleted.
Removing a voiceover added as a timeline object
Use this method if the voiceover appears as an object in the timeline rather than through the Sound Control panel.
- Navigate to the slide where the voiceover was added.
- Open the timeline and select the voiceover object you want to remove.
- Click the trash icon to delete the voiceover from the slide.
The voiceover object is removed from that slide.
Removing a voiceover from your personal library (My Voiceovers)
Deleting a voiceover from My Voiceovers permanently removes the file from your library. This action cannot be undone.
- On the toolbar, click Audio, then select My Voiceovers.
- Locate the voiceover file you want to delete.
- Hover over the three dots next to the file name. The trash icon appears.
- Click the trash icon. A confirmation message appears.
- Click Remove to confirm. The voiceover is permanently deleted from your library.
Note: Removing a voiceover from My Voiceovers does not automatically remove it from any Powtoon it has already been added to. Remove it from individual slides separately using the Sound Control panel or timeline method above.
