When a slide contains both music and a voiceover, one track can overpower the other. The Sound Control panel in Powtoon Studio lets you set independent volume levels for each audio type so your Powtoon sounds balanced for your audience.
Adjusting volume in the Sound Control panel
To adjust the volume of music or narration in your Powtoon, follow these steps in Powtoon Studio:
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Click the sound control icon in the Studio toolbar. The Sound Control panel opens on the right side of the screen.
- The Sound Control panel is divided into two sections:
- Voiceover — controls the volume of any narration or recorded voiceover on the current slide.
- Music — controls the volume of the background music track.
- Drag the volume slider in the Voiceover section to raise or lower narration volume.
- Drag the volume slider in the Music section to raise or lower music volume.
- Click Play Together to preview both tracks simultaneously. Adjust either slider further if the balance is not right.
- When you are satisfied with the result, click X to close the Sound Control panel. Your settings are saved automatically.
Note: The Sound Control panel applies volume settings per slide. If you want different volume levels on different slides, open the panel on each slide individually and adjust accordingly.
