How to swap music in your Powtoon

If you have already added background music to your Powtoon and want to replace it, you can swap it for any other ready-made soundtrack, an uploaded file, or a track from your personal library — without removing and re-adding music from scratch.

Before you start

Music must already be added to your Powtoon before you can swap it. The Swap option appears in the Sound Control panel only when a soundtrack is active.

How to swap music in your Powtoon

1. Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio and go to any slide.
2. Click the sound control button on the slide. The Sound Control panel opens.
3. Click the Swap icon in the Sound Control panel. The music library opens and your current soundtrack is highlighted so you can see what is already in use.
4. Browse the music library and select the soundtrack you want to use instead.
   • ► To use your own audio, switch to the My Music tab and select a file from your personal library, or upload a new music file from your device.
5. Click Use to the right of the soundtrack name. The new music is applied to your Powtoon and the Sound Control panel returns to view.

What happens next

After you click Use, the selected soundtrack replaces the previous music across your entire Powtoon. The Sound Control panel remains open so you can review volume, timing, or other settings straight away.

Note: Swapping music replaces the soundtrack for the whole Powtoon, not individual slides. If you need slide-level audio control, see the Sound Control panel article linked above.
