How to take a screenshot on your computer
When you contact Powtoon support, attaching a screenshot of the issue helps the team understand what you're seeing. This article explains how to capture and save a screenshot on a PC or Mac.
Taking a screenshot on a PC
- Press Prt Scr (Print Screen) on your keyboard. This copies the screenshot to your clipboard.
- Open Paint (search for it in the Windows Start menu if needed).
- Press Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot into Paint.
- Crop or annotate the image in Paint if you want to highlight the specific issue.
- Save the file to a location you can find easily — for example, your Desktop.
Your screenshot is now saved and ready to attach to a support ticket.
Taking a screenshot on a Mac
- Press Shift + Command (⌘) + 3. The screenshot is saved automatically to your Desktop as a .png file.
- Locate the file on your Desktop.
- Attach the file to your support ticket when prompted.
Your screenshot is saved to your Desktop and ready to share.
Before you send
If you edited the screenshot, check that the issue is still clearly visible in the final image before attaching it to your ticket.
Note: The steps above use Paint on PC and the built-in screenshot shortcut on Mac. If you use a different tool to capture or edit screenshots, the steps may vary, but the goal is the same — save the image as a file you can attach to your support ticket.
