If Powtoon Studio is not working as expected, opening Google Chrome in Guest mode is a useful first troubleshooting step. Guest mode starts a temporary browser session that does not load your current Chrome profile, extensions, or cached data. This helps you confirm whether the issue is specific to your browser profile or something broader.
Why your Chrome profile may be causing the issue
When Powtoon Studio behaves unexpectedly, your Chrome profile is a common source of interference. Likely causes include:
- Cached data or cookies from a previous session conflicting with Powtoon Studio.
- A browser extension blocking or altering how Powtoon Studio loads.
- A sign-in state or profile setting that is interfering with the site.
Testing in Guest mode rules out all of these at once, without requiring you to clear your profile or disable extensions one by one.
How to open Chrome in Guest mode
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- Select Open Guest profile from the menu. A new Chrome window opens in Guest mode.
- In the Guest window, type the Powtoon URL into the address bar and press Enter.
- Sign in to your Powtoon account and repeat the action that was not working.
What to do with the result
If the issue does not appear in Guest mode, the problem is specific to your regular Chrome profile. Your next step is to identify which profile element is responsible — for example, a browser extension or cached data.
If the issue still appears in Guest mode, the problem is not limited to your Chrome profile. In this case, collect the following information before contacting support:
- The exact error message or unexpected behavior you are seeing.
- Your Chrome version (find this at chrome://settings/help).
- The steps you took before the issue occurred.
If the issue continues after testing in Guest mode
If switching to Guest mode does not resolve the issue, our Customer Support Team is at your service 24/7. When you contact support, attach the details listed above — error description, Chrome version, and reproduction steps — so the team can investigate without needing to ask for them separately.
Note: Guest mode is a diagnostic step only. Any Powtoon you work on during a Guest session will not be saved to your account unless you sign in. Sign in to your Powtoon account within the Guest window before testing.
