If Powtoon is not loading correctly, logging you out unexpectedly, or behaving inconsistently, blocked cookies in Google Chrome may be the cause. Enabling third-party cookies in Chrome allows Powtoon to store the session data it needs to run properly.
Before you start
These steps apply to Google Chrome on desktop. The exact labels in Chrome's settings may vary slightly depending on your Chrome version, but the navigation path described below reflects the current Chrome interface.
How to enable cookies in Google Chrome
To enable third-party cookies in Chrome, follow these steps:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- Select Settings from the menu. The Settings page opens in a new tab.
- In the left-hand sidebar, click Privacy and security.
- Under the Privacy and security section, click Site Settings.
- Scroll down and click Cookies and site data.
- Select Allow third-party cookies. The option is selected when its radio button is filled.
- Close the Settings tab and restart Chrome.
What happens next
After restarting Chrome with third-party cookies enabled, return to Powtoon and sign in again. Powtoon should now load and maintain your session correctly.
Note: If you are using Chrome's Incognito mode, cookies are blocked by default in that mode regardless of your standard settings. Switch to a regular Chrome window to use Powtoon.
