How to upload or remove a custom font in Powtoon

The custom font feature lets you upload your own fonts and use them in any Powtoon you create. You can also remove uploaded fonts at any time.

Plan requirement: This feature is available on the Advanced plan only.

Important: Before uploading a font, confirm that you have the rights or a valid license to use it.

Uploading a new font

To upload a custom font, open a Powtoon in Powtoon Studio and follow these steps:

1. Select any text on the slide.
2. Click the gear icon in the text toolbar.
3. Click the font box to open the font picker.
4. Click Upload your font.
5. Confirm that you own or have the rights to use the font, then click Upload your font to complete the upload.

Once uploaded, the font is added to your favorites list. An upload icon appears next to the font name to indicate that you uploaded it.

Notes:

1. Only the following file types are supported: TTF (TrueType Font), OTF (OpenType Font), WOFF (Web Open Font Format), and WOFF2.
2. If you cannot access your computer's Fonts directory due to system permissions, copy the font file to a directory you can access before uploading.

Removing an uploaded font

To remove a font you previously uploaded, open a Powtoon in Powtoon Studio and follow these steps:

1. Select any text on the slide.
2. Click the gear icon in the text toolbar.
3. Click the font box to open the font picker.
4. Click the Favorites tab. Your favorites list will appear, showing all fonts you have uploaded.
5. Hover over the font you want to remove and click the three-dot menu that appears beside it.
6. Click Remove Font.
7. Click Remove to confirm. The font is removed from your account.

Note: Removing a font from your account does not automatically update any existing Powtoons that already use that font. Verify your content after removing a font.
