If Powtoon is not loading or behaving unexpectedly on your organization's network, your firewall may be blocking one or more of the domains Powtoon depends on. Whitelisting a domain tells your firewall that the address is safe to access. This article walks you through testing your connection and resolving any blocked domains.
Test your connection
Powtoon provides a connection test page that checks whether your network can reach all required domains.
- Open the Powtoon connections test page.
- Wait for the test to complete. Each domain in the list will display a status indicator showing whether the connection succeeded or failed.
- Review the results. Every domain should show a successful (green check) status.
What to do if a domain is blocked
If any domain in the test results does not show a successful status, that domain is being blocked by your firewall.
- Note the exact domain address that failed.
- Contact your network administrator and ask them to whitelist that domain. Whitelisting means adding the domain to your firewall's list of approved addresses so it can be accessed.
- Re-run the connection test after the change has been applied to confirm the domain is now reachable.
Note: Firewall and network settings are managed by your organization's IT team, not by Powtoon. Powtoon's support team cannot make changes to your network configuration on your behalf.
If all domains pass but the problem continues
If every domain shows a successful status and you are still experiencing issues with Powtoon, the problem may have a different cause. Contact our Customer Support Team and include the results of your connection test so the team can investigate further.
