Previewing your Powtoon lets you see exactly how it will look and play before you export it. You can preview in Video mode or Slideshow mode, and move directly to Export when you are ready.
Before you start
Your Powtoon must be open in Powtoon Studio. Preview is available from the editor toolbar at the top of the screen.
How to preview your Powtoon
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Click Preview in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
Your Powtoon begins playing from the start of the first slide. - By default, the preview mode is set to Video. To switch to Slideshow mode, move the slider in the preview toolbar.
- ► Video mode plays your Powtoon as a continuous animated video.
- ► Slideshow mode displays your Powtoon slide by slide, without animation playback.
What you can do after previewing
Once you have finished previewing your Powtoon, you have two options:
- Click Back to Edit in the upper-left corner to return to Powtoon Studio and continue editing.
- Click Export to move directly to the export process.
Note: Preview plays your Powtoon as it currently stands. Any unsaved changes may not be reflected. If something looks unexpected in preview, return to Powtoon Studio to review your slides before exporting.

At the top right corner of the screen, click the play button beside export, to preview
the pow-tune.
Your pow-tune starts playing from the beginning of the first slide.
By default, the preview mode is set to video.
Move the slider if you want to preview the pow-tune in slide show mode.
After previewing, you can either click the back to edit in the upper left corner to return
to the studio and continue editing or the export button to the right if you want to export
the pow-tune.
