GST charges for customers purchasing from India

If you are purchasing a Powtoon subscription from India, an additional 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applied to your order. This article explains when GST applies and how to provide your GSTIN (GST Identification Number) to potentially reduce or remove that charge.

When GST applies

All customers purchasing a Powtoon subscription from India are subject to an 18% GST charge. This is added automatically at checkout based on your billing country.

How to apply your GSTIN at checkout

If your organization is registered for GST in India, you may be eligible for a GST exemption. To apply for the exemption, enter your GSTIN on the payment page before completing your purchase.

1. Proceed to the checkout or payment page as normal.
2. Locate the GSTIN field on the payment page.
3. Enter your GSTIN number exactly as it appears on your GST registration certificate.
4. Review the updated order total before confirming payment.

Note: Review your order summary carefully before finalizing payment to confirm whether the GST exemption has been applied.

1. GST exemption eligibility depends on the GSTIN you provide. Powtoon cannot guarantee exemption approval for all registrations.
