When you purchase a Powtoon subscription, your credit card details are protected by industry-standard encryption and handled by a certified third-party payment processor. Powtoon does not store your card information on its own servers.
How Powtoon protects your payment information
Powtoon uses Stripe to process all payments. Stripe is one of the most widely trusted payment processors available and is fully compliant with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements. PCI-DSS compliance means Stripe meets all industry standards for cardholder data security.
Your credit card details are encrypted during transmission. No card information is ever stored on Powtoon's servers — once your payment is processed, Stripe retains only what is necessary to manage your subscription, in accordance with its own security and compliance policies.
What this means for you
When you enter your card details at checkout, the following protections are in place:
- Your payment is handled entirely by Stripe, not by Powtoon directly.
- Your card details are encrypted in transit and are not stored on Powtoon's servers.
- Stripe's PCI-DSS certification means your data is handled to the highest industry standard for payment security.
Note: Powtoon does not have access to your full card number at any point during or after checkout. If you have questions about how Stripe stores or processes your data, refer to Stripe's website directly.
