How to export a Powtoon created in Classic Studio

Before you start

Flash Powtoons created in Classic Studio are no longer supported for direct export. To export a Powtoon that is still in Flash format, you must first convert it to HTML5. Export becomes available only after the conversion is complete.

To confirm whether your Powtoon is in Flash format, open it from your My Powtoons page. If the Powtoon was created in Classic Studio and has not yet been converted, you will see a prompt or restriction that prevents export.

How to convert and export a Classic Studio Powtoon

1. Go to your My Powtoons page and locate the Powtoon you want to export.
2. Open the Powtoon in Classic Studio.
   ► If the Powtoon is in Flash format, a conversion option will be available inside the editor.
3. Select the option to convert the Powtoon from Flash to HTML5.
4. Wait for the conversion process to finish. This may take a few moments depending on the length and complexity of your Powtoon.
5. Once the HTML5 version is ready, click Export to begin the export process.

Note: The conversion cannot be reversed. After your Powtoon is converted to HTML5, the Flash version will no longer be accessible.

What happens next

After the conversion to HTML5 is complete, the Export option becomes available for that Powtoon. If export is still unavailable after conversion, confirm that the conversion finished successfully before trying again.

If your Powtoon remains in Flash format and the conversion option does not appear, export is not supported for that Powtoon. Contact our Customer Support Team, who are available 24/7, for further assistance.
