How to download your Powtoon after receiving the confirmation email

Powtoon processes exports asynchronously — your file is prepared in the background, and a confirmation email is sent to you when it is ready. This article explains how to download your exported Powtoon once that email arrives, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Before you start

Make sure you have access to the email address associated with your Powtoon account.
Check both your inbox and your spam or junk folder for the confirmation email from Powtoon.
If you have not yet received the email, your export may still be processing. Wait a few minutes and check again before taking further action.

How to download your Powtoon from the confirmation email

Once you receive the confirmation email from Powtoon, follow these steps to download your exported file.

Open the confirmation email from Powtoon in your email client.
Click the download link in the email body. The download will begin automatically in your browser.
► If your browser blocks the download, check your browser's download permissions or look for a download prompt in the browser toolbar.
When the download is complete, save or move the file to the location you want on your device.

Note: The downloaded file is an MP4 file. Make sure your device has a compatible media player to open it.

What to do if the download does not start

If clicking the link in the confirmation email does not start the download, work through the following checks.

Confirm the email opened correctly and the link is not broken or truncated by your email client.
Try right-clicking the link and selecting Save link as to download the file directly.
Try opening the link in a different browser.
If you never received the confirmation email, check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, your export may still be processing — wait a few more minutes and check again.
