When you export a Powtoon, two branding elements may appear in the output: a watermark in the lower-right corner of each slide, and a Powtoon-branded outro at the end of the exported file. Whether you can remove these depends on your subscription plan.
Watermark and outro: what appears and when
The Powtoon watermark appears in the lower-right corner of the slide canvas throughout your exported Powtoon. The Powtoon outro plays automatically at the end of the exported file.
Both elements are controlled by your subscription plan:
- If you are on a free plan, the watermark and the outro both appear in every exported Powtoon and cannot be removed.
- If you are on a paid plan (Lite, Professional, Advanced, Pro+, Agency, or Business), you can choose whether to show or hide the watermark. The outro is also removed on paid plans.
How to remove the watermark on a paid plan
Removing the Powtoon watermark is done during the Export flow, inside the Quality settings step.
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Click Export in the top toolbar. The Export panel will open.
- Proceed through the export options until you reach the Quality settings step.
- Locate the watermark toggle and set it to off.
- Complete the remaining export settings and publish your Powtoon.
Note: The watermark toggle is only available if you are on a paid subscription plan. If you are on a free plan, the option will not appear and the watermark cannot be removed.
Summary: watermark removal by plan
On a free plan, the Powtoon watermark and outro are always included in exported files and cannot be turned off. On any paid plan — Lite, Professional, Advanced, Pro+, Agency, or Business — you can disable the watermark during the Quality step of the Export flow. The outro is removed automatically on paid plans.
If you are on a paid plan and the watermark toggle is not appearing in your Export settings, contact our Customer Support Team, who are available 24/7.
