When you finish building your Powtoon, you can export it to a range of formats and platforms. The format you can use depends on your subscription plan.
Export formats available to all users
The following export formats are available on every Powtoon plan, including free accounts:
- YouTube — Publish your Powtoon directly to your YouTube channel. See Exporting to YouTube for step-by-step instructions.

- PowerPoint — Export your Powtoon as a PowerPoint (.pptx) file. See Exporting to PowerPoint for step-by-step instructions.

Export formats that require a paid plan
The following export formats are available on Professional, Pro+, and Agency plans only:
- MP4 — Export your Powtoon as an MP4 file for download and offline use. See Exporting to MP4 for step-by-step instructions.
- SlideShare — Publish your Powtoon to SlideShare.
Note: If an export format is not visible in your account, your current plan may not include it. Review your subscription plan to confirm which formats are available to you.
How to export your Powtoon
To export your Powtoon, open it in Powtoon Studio and click Export in the top navigation bar. Select your preferred format from the options shown. Only the formats available on your plan will appear as active options.
Note: References to third-party platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Twitter, Microsoft Teams, SlideShare) were accurate at the time of writing. Platform availability and integration behavior may change independently of Powtoon.
