How to create a Powtoon using Anything to Video

Anything to Video is an AI-powered feature inside Powtoon Imagine that generates a complete Powtoon from a text prompt, an uploaded file, or a URL. Choose the starting method that fits your content, configure your options, and let the AI build your script.

Note: URL input is listed as coming soon and is not yet available. AI Avatar Video output is also listed as coming soon.

Start with a prompt

Use this method when you want to describe your Powtoon in your own words. You can enter up to 1,500 characters of detail, and the AI will generate a script based on what you provide.

Open your Workspace and click the Create with AI tab.
Click Anything to Video.
Select the purpose of your Powtoon from the following options:
- Market your Product or Service
- Explain a Topic
- Train or Give Instructions
- List Tips, Accomplishments, Ideas etc.
Type the details of your Powtoon into the text field. You can enter up to 1,500 characters.
Select a video type:
- Footage based video (using Powtoon Stock video)
- AI Avatar Video (coming soon)
Select the tone of the script:
- Professional
- Funny
- Serious
Select the video duration.
Click Generate Script. The AI will generate a script based on your inputs.

Start with a file

Use this method when you have an existing document you want to turn into a Powtoon. The AI extracts content from your file and uses it to generate a script.

Accepted file types: .pdf, .doc, .ppt
Maximum file size: 20 MB
Maximum length: 10 pages

Open your Workspace and click the Create with AI tab.
Click Anything to Video.
Select the purpose of your Powtoon from the following options:
- Market your Product or Service
- Explain a Topic
- Train or Give Instructions
- List Tips, Accomplishments, Ideas etc.
Upload your document.
► The file must be .pdf, .doc, or .ppt, no larger than 20 MB, and no longer than 10 pages.
Select a video type:
- Footage based video (using Powtoon Stock video)
- AI Avatar Video (coming soon)
Select the tone of the script:
- Professional
- Funny
- Serious
Select the video duration.
Click Generate Script. The AI will generate a script based on your document.

Start with a URL (coming soon)

This option will let you paste a URL and have the AI generate a Powtoon from the content at that address. This feature is not yet available.

Note: The accepted file type listed in the source article includes .ptt. This may be a typo for .ppt (Microsoft PowerPoint). Confirm the correct accepted file extensions before publishing.
