This article covers three ways to delete images in Powtoon Studio: removing an image from your Powtoon directly on the stage or timeline, deleting a single image from your uploaded storage, and deleting multiple uploaded images at once.
In this article:
- Remove an image from your Powtoon
- Delete a single image from your storage
- Delete multiple images from your storage
Remove an image from your Powtoon
To remove an image from a slide, work directly on the stage or timeline inside Powtoon Studio.
- Select the image on the stage or timeline.
- Press the Delete key on your keyboard. The image is removed from the slide.
Note: You can also right-click the image on the stage and select Delete from the context menu.
Delete a single image from your storage
To delete an image you previously uploaded to Powtoon, remove it from your image storage using the Images panel in Powtoon Studio.
- Open Powtoon Studio and click the Images tab on the right-hand panel.
- Hover over the image you want to delete, then click the three horizontal dots (more options) icon that appears on the image thumbnail.
- Click Remove Image. The image is deleted from your storage.
Note: Removing an image from your storage does not automatically remove it from any slides where it is already in use. Remove it from individual slides separately if needed.
Delete multiple images from your storage
To delete several uploaded images at once, use the multi-select option in the Images panel.
- Open Powtoon Studio and click the Images tab on the right-hand panel.
- Hover over any image thumbnail and click the three horizontal dots (more options) icon.
- Click Select Image. The panel switches to selection mode.
- Click each image you want to delete. Selected images are highlighted.
- Click the trash bin icon at the bottom of the panel. All selected images are deleted from your storage.
Note: As with single deletions, removing images from storage does not remove them from slides where they are already placed.
