What is Prompt Director?

Writing a good AI video prompt from scratch can take a lot of trial and error. Prompt Director is a free tool in Powtoon Labs that solves this by walking you through the key parts of a prompt — story, scenes, characters, and visual style — before you generate anything.

How Prompt Director works

Prompt Director replaces the guesswork of open-ended prompting with a guided, step-by-step structure. Instead of writing one unstructured prompt and refining it repeatedly, you work through a set of focused inputs that cover:
