Every recording you make with Powtoon Capture is saved automatically in your Workspace, in the Toolbox section. The Toolbox shows your most recent recordings. From there, you can save a Capture to a folder, view it, download it as an MP4 file (MP4), edit it in Powtoon Studio, or delete it.

Save your Capture in a folder
To save a Powtoon Capture in a folder, follow these steps from your Workspace.
- Click View all in the corner of the Toolbox.
- Filter your content by Capture to see only your recordings.
- Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and select Move to.
- Select the destination folder and click Move. The Capture moves to the selected folder.

View your Capture
To view a Powtoon Capture, locate it on your My Powtoons page and play it directly from the thumbnail.
- On your My Powtoons page, locate the Capture you want to view.
► If the Capture does not appear, click View all to see all your content. - Play the Capture using either of the following actions:
► Hover over the Capture thumbnail and click the play button.
► Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and select Preview.
The Capture recording plays in a preview window.
Download your Capture to an MP4 file
You can download a Powtoon Capture as an MP4 file directly from your My Powtoons page.
Note: Downloading a Capture as an MP4 file requires a paid subscription plan.
- On your My Powtoons page, locate the Capture you want to download.
► If the Capture does not appear, click View all to see all your content. - Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and select Download MP4.
The MP4 file downloads to your computer and is saved in your designated downloads folder.
Edit a Powtoon Capture
You can open a Powtoon Capture in Powtoon Studio to edit it further.
Note: Captures longer than 3 minutes cannot be edited in Powtoon Studio.
- On your My Powtoons page, locate the Capture you want to edit.
► If the Capture does not appear, click View all to see all your content. - Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and select Edit.
- The Capture opens in Powtoon Studio, where you can make your edits.
Delete a Powtoon Capture
To permanently remove a Powtoon Capture, delete it from your My Powtoons page.
- On your My Powtoons page, locate the Capture you want to delete.
► If the Capture does not appear, click View all to see all your content. - Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and select Delete.
- Click Yes, delete Powtoon to confirm.
The Capture is deleted.
