To start creating with Powtoon, you need to sign up for an account. This article walks you through the sign-up process, including what to do after you register with an email address.
Sign up for a Powtoon account
- Go to powtoon.com.
- Click Sign Up in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Choose one of the following sign-up options:
- Email address
- Google account
- Facebook account
- LinkedIn account
- Office 365 account
If you sign up with a third-party account (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Office 365), your account is activated immediately and you can start building your first Powtoon.
If you signed up with an email address
Signing up with an email address requires one extra step: verifying your email. Powtoon sends a verification email to the address you entered during sign-up. You must complete that step before your account is fully active.
- After submitting your details, keep the email verification page open in your browser. You may need it to request a new verification email if the first one does not arrive.
- Check your inbox for the verification email from Powtoon and follow the instructions in it to confirm your address.

What happens next
Once your account is active, you are taken to your My Powtoons page, where you can start creating your first Powtoon. Your free account gives you access to Powtoon's core features right away.
Note: Some features and export options are available on paid plans only. You can upgrade at any time from your account settings.
