How do I use the ADKAR Video Generator?

The ADKAR Video Generator takes your existing training documents and turns them into Powtoon video content that follows the ADKAR® (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) methodology — a widely used framework for behavior-change communication. Use this tool when you want to move dense training material into a format that is easier to share and act on.

Before you start

• Have the training materials you want to convert ready to upload or paste.
• Check that your content maps to the ADKAR® framework. The generator works best when your material addresses at least one of the five ADKAR® stages: Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, or Reinforcement.
• Confirm that your content is suitable for video format — highly technical data, legal text, or content with complex formatting may need manual editing after generation.

How to use the ADKAR Video Generator

To convert your training materials using the ADKAR Video Generator, follow these steps:

1. Open the ADKAR Video Generator from within Powtoon.
2. Enter or upload the training material you want to convert.
   • ► If you are pasting text, make sure it is clean and free of formatting symbols that may affect how the generator reads it.
3. Review the Powtoon content the generator produces. Check that the structure and messaging reflect your training goals.
4. Edit the generated Powtoon as needed — adjust text, visuals, or slide order to match your content requirements.
5. Save your Powtoon. It is saved automatically to your My Powtoons page so you can continue editing or export it when you are ready.

Note: The ADKAR Video Generator produces a starting point, not a finished Powtoon. Plan to review and refine the output before using it in a live training or change-management program.

What happens next

After you generate and edit your Powtoon, you can use it as part of a training program or change-management initiative. You can export it as an MP4 file to share externally, or keep it in Powtoon to present directly. If you need to export your Powtoon, see the export options available on your plan before you publish.
