Batch Editing lets you update a background color on one slide and automatically apply that change to every other slide in your Powtoon that shares the same background color. This saves you from updating each slide individually.
Changing the background color across slides
To change a background color and apply it to all matching slides in your Powtoon:
- On the stage, select the slide whose background color you want to change.
- Click the background settings icon for that slide.
- Select the Color Picker.
- Choose your new color.
- Click Apply to matching colors.
Powtoon will apply the new color to every slide that previously used the same background color. For example, if you change a light green background to dark green, all slides with that light green background will update to dark green.
Note: It may take a few seconds for the slide thumbnails in the left-hand panel to reflect the new color.
Why the "Apply to matching colors" option does not appear
If you do not see the Apply to matching colors option after selecting a new color, the most likely reason is that no other slides in your Powtoon use the same background color as the slide you selected. The Batch Editing option only appears when there is at least one other matching background to update.
To use Batch Editing for backgrounds, your Powtoon must have two or more slides that share the same background color.
