Using Google Drive to manage your Powtoons

Connecting Powtoon to Google Drive lets you manage your Powtoons from within Google Drive. Once connected, your Powtoons sync automatically to a dedicated folder in your Drive, and you can organize them using Google Drive's folder structure.

When you integrate your Powtoon account with Google Drive, you can:

• Automatically sync all Powtoons in your account to Google Drive.
• Organize your Powtoons across folders in Google Drive.
• See changes you make in Powtoon — such as creating, renaming, or deleting a Powtoon — reflected immediately in Google Drive.

Connecting your Google Drive to Powtoon

To connect Google Drive to your Powtoon account, follow these steps from within Google Drive:

1. Open Google Drive in your browser.
2. Click + New.
3. Select More, then click Connect more apps.
4. Search for Powtoon in the app search field.
   ► You can also go directly to the Powtoon listing in the Google Workspace Marketplace to skip the search step. Note that Google Workspace Marketplace information may have changed since this article was written.
5. Click + Connect in the Powtoon listing.
6. In Google Drive, click + New, then select More > Powtoon.
7. Select the Google account you want to connect to Powtoon.
8. Click Allow to grant Powtoon access.

After you click Allow, a folder called My Powtoons is added to your Google Drive. This folder contains all your existing Powtoons, and you can open any Powtoon directly from it.

Viewing your Powtoons in Google Drive

Once the integration is set up, your Powtoons appear in the My Powtoons folder in Google Drive. You can leave them in that folder or move them to any other folder in your Drive — the choice is yours.

How syncing works between Powtoon and Google Drive

Changes you make in your Powtoon account sync to Google Drive immediately. The following actions in Powtoon are reflected in your Google Drive:

• Creating a new Powtoon
• Deleting a Powtoon
• Renaming a Powtoon

Note: Syncing is one-directional for deletions and renames. If you delete or rename a Powtoon inside Google Drive, that change is not reflected back in your Powtoon account. To delete or rename a Powtoon, make the change from within Powtoon.
