When you publish a Powtoon, the text inside it is automatically indexed and made available to search engines such as Google and Bing. This means that if someone searches for a word that appears in your Powtoon, your Powtoon may appear in their search results.
How search engine indexing works for published Powtoons
Search engine indexing for published Powtoons happens automatically — you do not need to take any action for your Powtoon to become discoverable. Once published, the text content within your Powtoon is read and indexed by search engines. Any user who searches for a matching term may then see your Powtoon listed in their results.
How to prevent your Powtoon from appearing in search results
Available on paid subscription plans (Lite, Professional, Advanced, Pro+, Agency, and Business).
If you do not want your Powtoon to appear in search engine results, you can make it unlisted. An unlisted Powtoon is not indexed by search engines and will not appear in public search results, though it can still be accessed by anyone who has the direct link.
See Making your Powtoon unlisted for steps on how to change your Powtoon's visibility setting.
Note: The option to make a Powtoon unlisted is available on paid subscription plans only. If you are on a free trial or unpaid plan, your published Powtoons will remain publicly indexed by search engines.
