The A to B feature lets you move an object across the stage during playback by setting two camera positions: a start point (Camera 1) and an end point (Camera 2). Powtoon Studio then animates the object smoothly between those two positions.
Before you start
Make sure you have a Powtoon open in Powtoon Studio and at least one object placed on the stage before following the steps below.
How to apply the A to B feature
- Open your Powtoon in Powtoon Studio.
- Select the object on the stage that you want to animate.
- Locate the A to B option in the animation or properties panel for that object.
- Set Camera 1 — this is the position where the object starts its movement on the stage.
- Set Camera 2 — this is the position where the object ends its movement on the stage.
- Press Play to preview the animation and confirm the object moves between the two positions as expected.
- Adjust Camera 1 or Camera 2 as needed until the motion looks right.
Once you are satisfied with the result, the animation is saved automatically as part of your Powtoon.
What happens next
During playback, Powtoon Studio animates the selected object from Camera 1 to Camera 2 for the duration you have set. You can apply the A to B feature to multiple objects on the same slide to build more complex motion sequences.
Note: The exact panel location of the A to B control may vary depending on the object type selected. If you cannot locate the option, check that the object is fully selected on the stage before looking for the animation controls.
