I'm a student and forgot my password — how do I reset it?

If you joined Powtoon through a teacher invitation and have forgotten your password, do not use the Forgot your password? link on the login page. That reset flow does not work for student accounts created through a classroom invitation. You need to contact Powtoon Customer Support directly to reset your password.

Who this applies to

This process is for students who joined Powtoon after receiving an invitation from their teacher. If you are a teacher or classroom admin, this article does not apply to your account type.

How to reset your password as a student

To reset your password, contact Powtoon Customer Support and include the following details so the team can verify your account:

1. Contact Powtoon Customer Support by submitting a support ticket.
2. In your ticket, include your username.
3. Add the name of the last Powtoon you worked on. This helps the support team verify your account.
   ► If you cannot remember the name of your last Powtoon, include any other details that identify your account, such as your teacher's name or your school name.
4. Powtoon Customer Support will send you a temporary password.
5. Sign in using the temporary password.
6. Change your password after you log in.
